I was now going through a separate process to earn mentorship from another couple who the wife had retired at 30 and the husband was working on it. I had never heard of Amway or pyramid schemes before so I pursued my friend, really convinced that this would be the change I so desperately needed in my life. It was a 3 hour long meeting where I learned that this couple partnered with Amway to build wealth and leave their jobs and are helping people to do the same thing. I finally got to my first meeting by completing said tasks and was excited to learn how to build a business that would retire me in 2-5 years with a 6 figure income (just as my friend had promised). I had to go through a 2 week long process of reading books, listening to audios, basically jumping through these hoops just to be able to SEE her retired mentors and learn their names. I was young & naive, severely depressed (this will play a huge roll in my story) and had so much trust in my friend that “scam” didn’t even cross my mind. ![]() She told me about this couple she met who retired at 24 and 25 and I was absolutely blown away. ![]() My story started when I was 19 and reconnected with my high school friend. They are a mentorship platform that helps you build the Amway business. Usually when someone tries to recruit you to join Amway, they are with a group called World Wide Dream Builders. I’m just going to share the beginning part for now. I want to preface this by saying I could go on for hours about what I saw during my time in this MLM.
